UPSTART: FOR PUPILS BY PUPILS

"Upstart" Is a newspaper run by pupils for pupils. it is a journalistic initiative for the young generation of grahamstown. These newspapers touch on social issues such as education and crime but it also has a lighter, younger feel to it. Throughout this semester a colleague and myself have been asked to train and develop six aspiring Upstart pupils in radio production. Next term we will be putting together a piloted show for Rhodes Music Radio which will be run weekly. We will guide these shows however they will be produced predominantly by the six "Upstart" pupils.
